Intel’s Hades Canyon NUC is a mini PC that delivers desktop-gaming-grade performance in a chassis that’s about the size of a book. Thanks to its Intel Core i7-8009G/AMD Radeon RX Vega M GH hybrid chip, which combines processing and discrete graphics on a single chip, the Hades Canyon NUC can handle AAA games and VR in a small, black brick that can be tucked into a backpack or added to a home entertainment center
I was always passionate about the small form factor PC. Back in the days, I was all over Shuttle small PCs, and back in 2013/2014, when Intel announced NUC small PCs, I was simply blown away.
Intel’s NUC family has evolved a lot over the years, but the core goals remain the same: to deliver a lot of performance in a small form-factor. The latest NUC, built around the Quartz Canyon platform, is bigger than most others, but it also packs a real performance punch – and even offers a bit of modularity.
Simply NUC, Inc., a Platinum Intel® Technology Provider and leading Intel® NUC integration company, today announced it’s taking orders on a new SNUC Book product line of laptop PC, designed in collaboration with Intel with customizable RAM, SSD, and OS options.Simply NUC is providing two SNUC Book families: Cobalt™ for mobile workstation usage and Nemesis™ geared toward gaming. Weighing in at 4 pounds, these lightweight laptops are perfect for on the go computing.
Cobalt brings top of the line performance making big ideas happen. The featured 9th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-9750H processor and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2070 graphics card with Max-Q option offer uncompromising workstation performance. Equally impressive, the Nemesis LAP71NM provides premium gaming performance in a sleek, fast, and powerful form factor.
Over the years we’ve seen a number of NUC-like mini PCs with AMD processors. But now a company that’s best known for selling NUCs is getting in on the action. Heck, the company even has NUC in the name. Simply NUC’s new Sequoia computer is a small desktop PC powered by an AMD Ryzen Embedded processor.
SimplyNUC, a maker of ultra-compact form-factor (UCFF) PCs, has introduced its first PCs that use AMD’s Ryzen Embedded processors. The Sequoia units are rugged commercial systems designed for applications like edge data analytics, electronic kiosks, and digital signage that can withstand up to 95% of relative humidity as well as temperatures as high as 60°C.
Here at Simply NUC we strive to bring technological solutions to all points and places in life. From the office to the home we seek to make a difference.
But then there are moments when even we are surprised and proud of the impact one of our solutions can have.
Meet James, an 11-year-boy like any other, yet just as unique as any.
His father emailed us and shared this simple and moving story and graciously offered for us to share it.
“We have a 11-year-old boy, James who has special needs and a rare genetic condition. He is nonverbal.
We have been using Lumo play for a while and it has been magical for James development. It captures his attention immediately with the interactive floor set up. Each game provides a different experience, but they all encourage his hand to eye coordination and motor skills. For us as parents it’s amazing to see his enjoyment at interacting and achieving a response from his physical movements.
The setup of the equipment is so straight forward. We have the projector mounted in the ceiling and connected to the NUC box which runs the Lumo software. The NUC box is so compact and unobtrusive but packs a punch to power the motion detection from the connected camera.
We are so delighted with the setup and software and it’s such a revelation that this works so well encouraging James capabilities.”
We are both honored and inspired to know the difference the LUMOplay solution has made in James’ life.
As COVID-19 coverage predominates, a sliver of optimistic news emerged March 13.
Inc. magazine released the names of the Texas companies on its annual Inc. 5000 ranking of companies where revenue is going gangbusters.
Like all of Intel’s NUC mini PCs that came before, the NUC 9 Extreme will be sold as an Intel-branded full computer. But it is a lot more than that. Intel is also opening up the NUC 9 Extreme as a platform for partners to participate and build their own designs, offering their own configs and chassis using the same core guidelines and Intel “Core” hardware.
Simply NUC, Inc, a Platinum Intel® Technology Provider and leading Intel® NUC integration company based in Round Rock, Texas and Belfast, UK, today announced it is now taking pre-orders for the industry’s first “AI on the PC” Developer Kit. This is the result of a close collaboration effort between Intel and Simply NUC.
